I will give it a second chance but for once with Andy Tauer is not love at first sight. All in all it pays hommage to roses.

My first sniff of Incense Rose- and oh my gosh, how utterly beautiful and totally surprising. It's magic.

But, I acknowledge its amazing composition and beauty and would love it as a piece of art to be viewed (or smelled) from time to time. Very exotic and is certainly a statement scent. I really like its incensy base, but… I just can’t get over the opening – I get a huge amount of cardamom and it stays present for a good half of hour. It is too much spice, too much rose, too much everything for me to find it wearable on my skin. I must have described the wrong sample previously: I love this, maybe more than L'Air du Désert Marocain. Everything blends together and the end result makes me think of really cold and fizzy soda, but not sweet. You need to be logged in (or register here) to use Private Notes. i think i'm getting the labdanum and castoreum fairly strongly here later on.

I thought I would love it because I like L' Air du Desert Marocain but it lacks the complexity and the lovely dry down. I was surprised when this came flying out of the bottle.

I like it. The woody and balsamic notes of cedar, vetiver, patchouli, myrrh and labdanum are rich and dark. Don't know the answer to that yet. I am very impressed!

Silage is huge, longevity is impressive. The citrus isn't an easily identifiable orange or lemon; rather, it's really well-integrated in that it "lifts" the rose and incense notes to stop them getting too heavy or church-like. I put it on 7 hours ago, *cleaned two bathrooms and washed my daughter's hair yet I can still smell on my skin. I would still recommend giving this a try, as it's quite unlike anything I've tried before (in true Tauer fashion).

Eau de parfum 50 ml, 1.7 FL. 06 Incense Rose was launched in 2008. It's incredibly complex, definitely not a "splash on and go" fragrance. The more I wore it, I became to appreciate it more, all though still probably not one I will buy. There are a number of rose fragrances i enjoy, but very few I actually like to wear. What I mean is that if you enjoy mainstream crowd pleasers meant to appeal to the masses then the chances are extremely slim that you will "get" it. I'm so glad I went down the sample route because if I had blind bought, I'd have gone for Incense Extreme and that has really disappointed me. Become a member of this online perfume community and you will be able to add your own reviews. Attention to detail and a bit of glamour would do Incense Rose well. This powerful artificial citrus persisted for hours while I vaguely sensed the incense and rose trying to fight their way out from behind it - and when it finally gave way, I was left with a fleeting scent of . I imagine him working away all alone with no regard for opinion polls and marketing surveys, in a quest for the perfect perfume. It is absolutely beautiful, I will definitely be re-purchasing when I run out. OZ. The rose is properly subjugated here. His perfumes are strong and last a long time, so you'll want to sample for sure, but this one has so many notes that play together in an intoxicating way that you will not be able to ignore it. His Bulgarian rose is matched with incense more like Nag Champa. (eloquent, I know) Here you get the freshness of a young rose, mixed with dignified (for lack of a better description) incense.

It smells like coke a cola and artificial rose on me. If Karl Lagerfeld's Floreintal got a makeover, this is what it would smell like(no disrespect to Floriental because i like that one too).

I really had a journey crossing a Coke industry, an incense smell coming from an opened door of a far church, and then, after an hour, the wonderful scent it is, moving step to that door while incense growing more clear and rose appearing; but not in a austere mood; they are peppery, minty, joyful; it makes me feel happy. In order to describe Incense Rose by Andy Tauer, I find it easiest to compare it other incense-rose fragrances, particularly Eau d’Italie’s Paestum Rose, because Tauer’s version is nothing like them. It's sweet, resinous, dark and enveloping. Must be my skin. It smells precious. Maybe with a bit of lemon squeezed in. I wear it everyday, not because I want to but because I HAVE TO. It then dries down to the same DNA as Au Couer Du Desert :). This is a very fruity wine-like rose and the perfume as a whole reminds me intensely of mulled wine and Christmas time. I've been looking for rose incense scent that isn't too floral or powdery, and I think I've found the one. Starts with a strong blast of sparkle with cardamon. It goes all incense and rose with a woody backbone for about 5 hours when it starts to be a bit sweeter and resin like; it's not that screechy anymore and the myrrh and resins take a central stage while incense still goes strong. insece Rose is like any real perfume should be like, you can taste the oils and raw ingredients , full of real flavours and presence. This fragrance is like a liquid dream. Anyway.... this is a knock-down, drag-out killer of an aptly named "incense/rose"! LOVE. The opening smells a lot like orange Tang.

Not the best association since as I child, I was terrified to go to the doctor. I have come to the conclusion that Andy Tauer is something you either "get" or you don't. This is LDDM + Rose..Quite nice and long-lasting. I toughed it out. Incense Rose is an intoxicating perfume. This potion is such a bliss. Both have an eau de cologne charm, fresh and citrusy.

love love love. It's like a more robust L'Artisan CDVS with emphasis on rose. I am a frankincense addict and this is, to me, one of the most perfect incense fragrances out there. I couldn't even identify the first notes of the fragrance.

It opens smelling of sweet green grass with cardamom and Clementine. It makes feel joyful and elegant. I haven't been there in at least 35 years, but BAM!, there I was.

i wish it lasted a bit longer, but I'll take what I can get.

Available from these sellers. I'll update this when I get it all sorted out. Tauer INCENSE ROSE, like the other creations I've tried from this house, is a perfume. This is a truly beautiful perfume, a work of art. The nose behind this fragrance is Andy Tauer. It's engaging and has a good presence; however, there's also something extremely sharp, shrill and abrasive in this that persists throughout. Top notes are Bulgarian Rose, Clementine, Cardamom and Bergamot; middle notes are Castoreum and Orris Root; base notes are Incense, Myrrh, resins, Texas Cedar, Vetiver, Labdanum and Patchouli. I don't understand why others do not like this scent!

One of the most unisex fragrances I've encountered and would be just as devastatingly sexy on either a man or woman. While opening, Incense Rose brings notes of mystical and dark rose, followed by bergamot and clementine essential oil combined with cardamom and Bulgarian rose. Then shortly after the rose comes a deep, balsamic sugared frankincense. 06 - Incense Rosé | Reviews and Rating immediate love. It's silly when a scent smells very simple to me and other people smell deep complexity. i wasn't expecting that! Not exactly what I was expecting, but then again that's Andy Tauer. The base introduces cedar from Texas, vetiver, balsamic and dark Myrrh, patchouli, natural frankincense (extrait of CO2 Boswellia Serrata, already mentioned in description of Incense Extreme fragrance), labdanum and ambrein.

My first time with a Tauer fragrance. E' una rosa che non ti abbandona mai. Want to lay my hands on a FB. It’s a sparkly to the point of raspy blend of aldehyde, rose, cardamom, frankincense, cedar and amber.

I just received my long awaited sample of Incense Rose. Citrus notes and a hint of cardamom lend the rose a ripe, spicy quality, whereas orris gives the scent an effervescent, sparkling feel. A whiff of citrus but mostly a cleverly employed cardamom blend with the two titular components, and all this combines to an intriguing set of top notes. The rose is less attractive but still very nice.

The cedar and myrrh last forever and keep their scent fidelity. The name says it all Incense and Rose! They both deepen and soften the other star note of the composition, the smoldering frankincense. The first impression of top notes: Oh my goodness no, no no, the clementine is the worst... makes me worse than sick, such a clash of notes, no way, not good at all. It took me a bit to figure this out! Top notes are Coriander and Petitgrain; middle notes are Incense and Orris Root; base notes are Cedar, Woody Notes and Amber. On a positive note, the packaging is lovely and my bottle came with a signed note from Mr. Tauer himself. barbecue sauce? I much prefer it to L'Air du desert Morocain which just sits and disappears. Had my husband rank the 9 scents, smelling coffee beans in between each sample.

It’s myrrhdr. The rose is low keyed and not blasted in your face as in Montale's Black Aoud. smart. Received a sample.
