My family loved this recipe and I can't wait to make it again!

I know polenta divides people but please trust me when I say it really comes into its own in this dish. Pork cheeks, if you have never tried them before, are flakey, succulent and a real treat to have now and again.

This is a good time to crack on with the potato and celeriac mash.

They are well priced and even do next day deliver, which is a real bonus. Let me know how it goes.

If you’ve got a slow cooker, this is a perfect dish to make in it.

Had this for supper and it was delicious.

Combine the Rub ingredients then rub all over the pork.

Turn heat to low, cover with a lid and cook for about 5 hours, or until the pork cheeks fall apart at the slightest touch, stirring occasionally.

When ready to serve, remove the pork cheeks from the stew and pull apart into chunks with forks.
